Ministry Of Environment Receives N5billion From Presidency For Northern Rural Support

Owing to the failure of President Goodluck Jonathan coming out with a strategy of managing the crisis ravaging the country’s economy ranging from cash crunch and now fuel scarcity, Nigerians have labeled President Goodluck Jonathan names attributing the current state of the economy to his bad leadership and administration.

In a recent update from the Nation, President Jonathan has released the sum of N5billion to the ministry of environment to purchase a clean cooking stove for the women in the rural area of the Northern state of Nigeria. Reports say the total project cost is estimated to be N9.2billion, with the project set to be inaugurated today by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Report, according to the minister shows that the project is carried out to discourage the women in the northern part of Nigeria from using firewood to cook which she said is the possible cause of desertification in the area.

Crippling Fuel Scarcity: GTB Issues a Notice To Her Customers On Early Closure

Going by the current fuel scarcity in the country, Guaranty Trust Bank have issued a notice to all her esteemed customers on early closure in all her branches nationwide.

The bank in a notice to all her branches nationwide reads: the current shortage of petroleum products in the country has limited our ability to supply diesel to all our branches, in order to continue normal branch operations.

A Black Student Reportedly Barred From a Nightclub For Being Black

A black university student from Leicestershire  and friends were reportedly barred by a bouncer from entering a Nightclub because they were blacks.

The victim, whose name is Kosi Orah, described the name of the Nightclub as Ghost Nightclub in Leicester. Though the management of the Nightclub had since rendered their apologies, meanwhile the matter was reported to the police in Leicestershire, who are currently carrying out their investigation on the racist attack.

Although, the bouncer in question has been suspended by the management of the Nightclub, but the victim said he was left sickening after the incident for been black.

Chief Tony Anenih Resigns As PDP BOT Chairman

Just after the National Chairman of PDP Adamu Mu’azu tendered his resignation from office, the Chairman Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party Chief Tony Anenih has also stepped down from office effective this Wednesday.

According to the Chairman Board of Trustees, in a statement signed by himself and addressed to the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, he cited his conversation with the president to that effect and proposes to handover to the president in a ceremony that would take place on the 22nd of May, 2015

Chief Tony Anenih also said, in a view of the party’s current state of affairs his decision will enable the president to assume the Chairman Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Peoples Democratic Party National Chairman Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu resigns his appointment as the PDP National Chairman this Wednesday. The National Secretary of the party Prof. Wole Oladipo made the announcement at a media briefing in Abuja yesterday.
