Paul Walker's Father File Suit Against Carrera GT Porsche Over The Death of Son

Father of Paul Walker (Fast & Furious Actor) is suing Porsche Carrera GT for negligence that led to the death of his son in May, 2013.

According to the claim filed by Paul Walker’s father, reads that Paul Walker was riding in a lacked safety features which would have invariably saved his life. Among the features cited in the lawsuit claims are:

• Stability control system
• Side door reinforcement
• Breakaway fuel line

Meanwhile, the Car Company in a bid to defend the entire suit filed, said Paul Walker is a Knowledgeable and sophisticated user of Carrera GT Porsche 2005.

Breaking News: Kurdish Forces Uncovers Underground ISIS Hide-Out In Iraqi Town

A secret underground hide out built by ISIS have been uncovered by Kurdish forces in North-West of Iraqi town. The hideout which is estimated to have about 30 to 40 routes, with complete sleeping apartments, sandbags, electricity, and American bomb making materials, drugs and dusty copies of the Koran were found in a town called Sinjar.

Two suspected men purported to be Majors in the Nigerian Army, have been nabbed by 2 Brigade Garrison in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to the Assistant Director Army Public Relations Officer Captain Eli Lazarus,The suspects have been parading themselves as Majors in the Nigerian Army to defraud innocent citizens. 

Although, report shows that the suspected fake military personnel were accosted along Mbiama, Ahoada West LGA where they were trying to escape an Army check point, during a protest in the Rivers State.

Meanwhile, one of the suspected fake Major who sustained a gunshot injury is still at the hospital receiving treatment.

Securities agencies are by this notice advised to be careful with the identities of person they do business with during this festive season.

Rivers State Government: Retirement Of 14 Permanent Secretary's Was Not A Witch Hunt

The Rivers State Government said the compulsory retirement of 14 permanent secretary from the state civil service by Governor Nyesom Wike was not an act of witch hunt as purported by the opposition party (APC) in a state.

The Deputy Governor Dr. Ipalibo Harry in a statement signed by her press secretary Paul Dagbo said the retirement process was part of the effort by the state Government to revive and reposition the State Civil Service for better and efficient service delivery.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ipalibo Harry said she wondered why the APC would raise an alarm over the action taken by the Rivers State Government on the retirement of 14 permanent secretaries when a similar action was taken recently by the APC led Federal Government .

She also said that there is nothing wrong with the compulsory retirement of the permanent secretaries of the civil service.

Governing Council Of Rivers State University of Science & Technology Vows To Tackle Security On Campus

The governing council of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology says it has resolved to tackle the security situation on the university campus. The chairman of the governing council and pro chancellor of the institution Justice Iche N. Ndu made this know to news correspondence at the end of an inaugural meeting with the governing council, he also said the governing council have resolved to improved the quality of learning, discipline of staff and students of the institution

According to him, the good news for the university and particularly for the community itself is that council has resolved to strengthen the security situation in the campus, to improve the quality of learning and discipline of staff and students.

DPR Dispenses PMS From ConOil And Total Fueling Station To Nigerians For Free

Following the directives of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu to the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) last week to shut down fuel stations found hoarding PMS (Premium Motor Spirit) and also dispense the hoarded products to Nigerians for free.

DPR today in a bid to heed to the directives given from the top, carried out an official visits to some filling stations along Apapa and Ikorodu, where they found ConOil and Total fueling stations to be the scapegoats.

Officials of DPR immediately ordered the fuel attendants to dispense fuel at the filling station to motorist for free; this will serve as deterrent to others who have the product and refused to sell.
