Owing to the failure of President Goodluck Jonathan coming
out with a strategy of managing the crisis ravaging the country’s economy
ranging from cash crunch and now fuel scarcity, Nigerians have labeled
President Goodluck Jonathan names attributing the current state of the economy
to his bad leadership and administration.
In a recent update from the Nation, President Jonathan has
released the sum of N5billion to the ministry of environment to purchase a
clean cooking stove for the women in the rural area of the Northern state of
Nigeria. Reports say the total project cost is estimated to be N9.2billion,
with the project set to be inaugurated today by the President of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria.
Report, according to the minister shows that the project is
carried out to discourage the women in the northern part of Nigeria from using
firewood to cook which she said is the possible cause of desertification in the
area.
