Top 10 Nigerian Universities Rankings

Controversies usually spring up when it comes to the yardstick of measuring the best universities in Nigeria. In case the university you attended is not in this ranking, *just chill okay* that does not mean you are not good or your certificated will be invalidated. I just feel this is a call for action so that all the state and federal universities will do the needful to getting the best structures on ground. This list reveals from top to the bottom.
Do you agree with this list?  did the institution you attended  make the list? Lets have your thoughts on this.

1. The Obafemi Awolowo University is a well structured public institution which is believed to have been established in 1962 as The University of Ife. The University is located on a vast expanse of land amounting to 11,861 hectares in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwest of Nigeria. In the 1970’s and the early 1980’s, this University has attained a foremost position among universities in Africa, with a vibrant academic and social atmosphere and a highly rated international reputation. Today as we speak, the University celebrates a rich tradition of excellence having produced, from among its staff, a Nobel Laureate and four National Merit Award winners.

2. The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, in Ogun State (FUNAAB) was established on January 1st 1988 by the Federal Government. This happen when four Universities of Technology merged in 1984, was demerged. The demerger led to the creation of the first two Universities of Agriculture in Abeokuta and Makurdi. In 2002 & 2003, the university was awarded the best university in the country by the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) consecutively. The establishment of the Universities of Agriculture was an entirely new concept for promoting agricultural education and service for agricultural development and attainment of self-sufficiency in food and fiber. This university deserves its current position if you ask me.
