INEC -Card Reader Machines Does Not Suck Human Blood

How on earth will people be imagining that card readers will possibly suck human blood? It shows the level at which people are so ignorant of modern technology and wants to be left behind.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday met traders at the Illela International Market in Sokoto, debunking rumours that the card reader machine sucks blood.

This was disseminated to scare people from voting in state, some politicians had spread rumours that the machines could suck blood.

While addressing people at the market, the head of Voter Education and Publicity unit of the Commission in Sokoto State, Alhaji Muhammed Musa, said the machines were harmless and was rather meant to check election fraud.

"The card reader doesn't suck blood as rumoured by some people. It is harmless and is meant to enhance the credibility of the electoral process’’.

He however, advised the traders against selling their cards, saying it is only with the PVC that they would be able to vote the candidates of their choice.
