Motorist In Long Queue To Buy Fuel

The current scarcity of petrol in most parts of the country is expected to continue till next week, according to news correspondence.
It quite obvious, that the pump price of fuel is sold for N100 per litre in most petrol stations in the city of Port Harcourt. Few that have the petroleum product still maintain the fixed pump price of N87 per litre.
The federal Government, in a bid to eliminate the scarcity, has approved the payment of the foreign exchange differential to the marketers of the product.
Independent Marketers said the supply promised by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation only got to them over the weekend and that it might take a week for the product to go round and cushioned the effect of the shortage being witnessed currently.
Meanwhile, motorist who could not afford to wait on the long queues resort to buying from black market at the price of N700 for 4litres.
