APC Lawmakers In Rivers State Wants State House Of Assembly Election Nullified

The Rivers State House of AssemblyElection Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja is expected to deliver judgmenttoday in the Petition filed by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress inthe state.

The Tribunal which was divided into four panels sitting in different court location in Abuja will deliver judgment in 32 Petitions arising from the April 11 and 18th House of Assembly Election in Rivers State.

The PDP are the majority in the Assembly with 31 lawmakers while the APC has only 1 lawmaker in the Assembly Josiah Olu which represents Eleme constituency.

Report shows that, the APC candidates are challenging the election of the 31 PDP lawmakers while PDP candidate Isaac Kamalu of Eleme constituency is challenging the Election of the only APC lawmaker in the House of Assembly.

Meanwhile many of the APC candidates are asking the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal to nullify the election of the PDP lawmakers and order for a fresh election. Except the APC candidate of Port Harcourt constituency 1 Victoria Nyeche was asking the Tribunal to declare her as the real winner of the election.
