Following the
directives of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu to
the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) last week to shut down fuel stations
found hoarding PMS (Premium Motor Spirit) and also dispense the hoarded products
to Nigerians for free.
DPR today in a bid to
heed to the directives given from the top, carried out an official visits to
some filling stations along Apapa and Ikorodu, where they found ConOil and
Total fueling stations to be the scapegoats.
Officials of DPR
immediately ordered the fuel attendants to dispense fuel at the filling station
to motorist for free; this will serve as deterrent to others who have the
product and refused to sell.
