Mutiple Taxation - Gubernatorial Candidates In Port Harcourt Vows To Tackle



The gubernatorial  candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr Adolf Dakuku Peterside ,his running mates in The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike as well as Labour Party (LP) Prince Tonye Princewill have all agreed to tackle the problems of multiple taxation if voted into power as governor of the state.

The Governorship candidates while speaking at the 2015 governorship debate in held in Port Harcourt on Monday the 23rd of March 2015, accepted that there were challenges of multiple taxations in the state which should be resolved for the business environment to grow.
They also shed more light on how they would diversify the state economy to create alternative streams of income.
The APC governorship candidate Dr. Dakuku Peterside said if given the mandate to rule he would, concentrate on growing agriculture, revitalize the economy to achieve better result, Meanwhile Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike said he would, reduce cost of governance and create the enabling environment for private investors to come in.
 The Labour Party governorship candidate Tonye Princewill said he would apply the carrot and stick approach to resolve the insecurity challenge in the state. Although, the others governorship candidate also spoke on how to partner with the police to deal with ill-ful situations in the state.
