Update: Governorship And State Assemblies Election In Nigeria

Today happens to be a remarkable day for the Nigerian people.  It is very obvious that Voters in 29 states in Nigeria will elect governors while new members of the state assemblies would be elected in the entire 36 states of the federation. We also know that, seven (7) out of the 36 states will not be holding elections for governorship, the states are: Edo, Ondo, Ekiti, Bayelsa, Kogi, Anambra the reason been that the tenures of the various state governors are yet to elapse.
The Peoples Democratic Party which used to be the strong opposition in this country turned out to be on the other side after the March 28 presidential Election where the All Progressive Congress Emerged winner. One would think that with recent development, the PDP will relent but they seem to be waxing great with the intent that the parties Governorship candidates will win in all their state.
However, at the end of the voting today, we will be able to come up with facts showing the winner of the elections from the various parties of the states. Although the race seems to be very tough but there will be a winner at the end of it all.
