Following its refusal to disconnect 5million
unregistered Sim Cards from their network,mobile telecommunication
giant MTN, is yet to pay the purported fine of $1.04trillion (equivalent to N5.2billion) imposed by the Nigerian
Communication Commission (NCC)
According to news correspondence
on Friday, MTN, NCC and Federal government have been deliberating on the issue
with no concrete conclusion reached yet.
Meanwhile, it was
gathered that MTN has been given an opportunity to negotiate payment of the fine
within stipulated days.
