Sporadic Gunshot In Okrika Was Caused By “Aggrieved” APC Members Says Rivers PDP

Ibibia Walter who is the Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State stated that there has never been a time in the rivers state where All Progressive Congress Party will hold a meeting in their various wards or rally without the ill speaking of Dame Patience Jonathan.

He made the statement while speaking as a guest on Channels Television. Mr. Walter noted that it is not in the nature of the Okrikans to have such attack but rather there are factions within the party who have a hand in the recent attack, he added that the attack is more of an “intra party than inter party issue”.

Ibibia Walter also denied the reports which has been on air that the All Progressive Congress was not welcomed to hold rally in Okrika,

 “APC has always been welcomed, while campaigning in ward 1 they are in ward 3 doing same; there has never been hiccup or problems”.

He however, accused a members of the APC for shooting a PDP member, thereby calling on the police for his “own investigation”, “police come and arrest me do your proper investigation as the operational leader of the PDP in Okrika”.
